ACE e-SET Plan User Instructions for School Staff

ADMINISTRATION VS STUDENT ACE E-SET PLAN ACCOUNTS

The School Admin account is identical to Student accounts, except it allows an Admin tab to be accessed with the following features:
  • Select subjects for your school,
  • Student results (both aggregated and individual student results), and
  • A ‘Student Notes’ feature that allows comments to be recorded by individual students and accessible only to Admin staff.

ADMINISTER SUBJECT CHOICES

Prior to student ACE e-SET Plan account registration, an authorised school staff member will need to select the subjects on offer at their school from the list of approved QSA subjects via the ACE e-SET Plan Admin tab. Once selected, only these subjects will be displayed in relevant sections of students’ ACE e-SET Plans. Each school is responsible for maintaining their current subject availability keeping in mind that students can access their ACE e-SET Plans throughout Years 10, 11 and 12.

VIEWING STUDENT RESULTS

Under the Admin tab, authorised school staff members may access two types of student results:

  1. A summary table that displays the following information for all registered students: up to three Career Interest Areas per student, up to three associated Career Goals per student, and Subjects Selected for each student. This report can be printed either as a hard copy or pdf file, or the data may be exported in a spreadsheet compatible format (i.e., csv file).
  2.  Individual student data that can be displayed or exported in a spreadsheet compatible format (i.e., csv file).

STUDENT NOTES

Admin staff may record comments and notes in individual student files.  This feature is available only to administration staff and facilitates the recording of relevant information such as interview dates and meeting content.  Each note is time/date stamped.

STUDENT REGISTRATION

Each student must create an e-SET Plan account.  The process of account creation is slightly different depending upon whether the student is already registered for the ACE e-course (or not).

FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT AN EXISTING ACE E-COURSE ACCOUNT:
